We know that sometimes it literally feels like it’s a jungle out there. There is so much to consider, so much to learn, so many options when it comes to greening your business. As we at Garten Services engage the local business community, we encounter a concern that sustainability is hard to define and even harder to implement.
“Sustainability” means meeting your needs today without compromising the ability of future generations to also meet their needs.
The foundational steps to making your business more sustainable don’t necessarily require a radical makeover or a huge investment. Tremendous results can come from little things. Greening your business is fundamentally about identifying a series of small steps. Over time, these small steps add up to a new way of doing business.
Garten’s Sustainability Development Office is now available to serve as your advisor, mentor, “question-answerer”, cheerleader and ally in greening your business. We don’t know everything at Garten Services, and we don’t believe any single resource can ‘do it all’. So we have researched and collected a trusted circle of partner programs, services and organizations that specialize in various aspects of sustainability. After talking with you to help identify your unique needs, we provide on-the-ground assistance in areas where we specialize—and bring you together with other leaders in sustainability for assistance in areas that are uniquely theirs.
