Shred Services
Garten Shred Services offers secure, confidential shred services to businesses, households and individuals. Our employees are carefully screened to successfully pass an Oregon State Police Background Records Check, complete with fingerprinting.
We offer three ways for your confidential document shredding to occur.
Standard Shred
For Standard Shred processing, you bring your confidential documents to Garten North Salem at 3334 Industrial Way NE, Salem. We issue a Certificate of Destruction upon receipt of your materials, which are then placed in our secure Card-Lock Storage Area. Shredding is guaranteed to occur within 10 days. Your Certificates of Destruction records movement of your confidential materials through the shredding process. The completed Certificate of Destruction is then mailed to you with your invoice for services.
Mobile Shred
For Mobile Shred processing, Garten’s mobile shred truck comes to your location to perform on-site shredding of large quantities. Materials are destroyed just outside your facility through a cross-cut shredding process that exceeds Oregon State Archivist standards for confidential destruction. A representative from your company may observe the document destruction—a process known as “witness shred”. Garten staff issues a signed Receipt/Certificate of Destruction for all materials destroyed; the shredded material is then transported to Garten North Salem for recycling. Garten can provide collection containers for your site or can service your containers.
Mobile Shred carries a minimum fee of $40.
Walk-In Shred Services
For Walk-In Shred processing, you carry your confidential documents directly to Garten North Salem at 3334 Industrial Way NE. Your documents are shredded that same day. Witness destruction is provided by appointment only and carries an additional fee. All walk-in shred processing must be paid at the time of delivery (via check, cash, Visa, Mastercard or American Express). Invoicing may occur only after prior approved credit application.
