Program Specialist-Salem

Duties Include:

• Coordinating and conducting site-specific tours for prospective clients
• Assessing skills, capabilities and interests of individuals receiving services
• Training program participants to ensure achievement of ISP goals
• Ensuring implementation, documentation and tracking of ISP goals
• Providing team building, mentoring, and coaching
• Developing and maintaining proactive and positive relationships with all customers
• Ensuring all recordkeeping for caseload is current and accurate
• Ensuring medications are administered properly and that medical administration record keeping (MARS) is maintained

Specific Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Attentiveness to detail
• Ability to conduct assessments and identify barriers
• Ability to maintain accurate record keeping/documentation and generate reports
• Knowledge of training techniques with ability to train/instruct diverse workforce
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Skills in judgment, decision-making, and balancing multiple priorities
• Physical and mental ability to operate computer (Microsoft Office)
• Valid ODL, acceptable driving record, and proof of current vehicle insurance

Education and/or Experience Required:

• Minimum of 2-3 years experience working with/providing training to people with disabilities
• Associate Degree in rehabilitation, social work, or communication (equivalent training in a related field may substitute for 1 year of experience)

This is full-time, the hours are 10:30am-8:00pm, (M-F).  Starting wage is between $10.50/hr.-$12.00/hr.
