Custodian with Periodic Experience-Salem, OR

In this position, you will be required to assist and provide relief for other personnel within the division when required. You will also perform all work in a safe manner and while meeting Garten’s quality standards.

Responsibilities:

- Perform periodics services (floor care, windows, etc.) in a manner that meets division standards and maintains customer satisfaction.
- Provide site coverage in the absence of supervisors and/or employees within Custodial Services.
- Provide service for additional/special requests.
- Coordinates periodics services to meet the contract specifications.
- Provide input on ways the organization can create integrated employment opportunities for
people with disabilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- High degree of attention to detail and customer satisfaction
- Proficient knowledge of contracts and quality control essential.
- Proficient knowledge of chemical interactions as well as stripping and waxing
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to train others, make decisions and use independent judgment
- Ability to actively participate in team development and team-oriented processes
- Physical and mental ability to use computer hardware/software
- Must pass a criminal history background check.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of current vehicle insurance
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Physical ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach overhead, climb stairs, stand, grasp, handle
objects, make repetitive motions with hand/wrists/shoulders and operate custodial
equipment
- Physical ability to push/pull/lift/carry up to 150 pounds regularly throughout a normal
workday
- Proficient knowledge of all custodial equipment, including but not limited to buffer,
extractors, etc.


Education and/or Experience:

- A minimum of 6-12 months experience/training in custodial equipment operation, and using
custodial chemicals and supplies
-  A high school education or equivalent

 

Hours:
-    The schedule will be variable night shifts, including weekends

Rate of Pay:
-    $10.50/hour
