People with disabilities constitute an amazing pool of vocational talent that is often overlooked.
Garten works closely with vocational rehabilitation services, county offices for developmental disabilities, and area brokerages to provide employment supports to individuals with diabilities referred by these organizations. Garten staff specialize in carefully matching individuals with special abilities to community jobs in which they will succeed.
In the process, everyone “wins”.
Employers discover employees with skills, talents and abilities that have often formerly been untapped.
After referral by a rehab counselor, service coordinator or personal agent, Garten staff carefully assess and provide training for those individuals.
Garten focuses on serving people with disabilities while also serving our community, as we all live and work together. We strive to offer people with disabilities the opportunity for personal growth and meaningful life experience through vocational and retirement opportunities and day activities.
