Our actions increase society's awareness of human potential.

Jobs for Persons with Disabilities

image

Garten focuses on serving people with disabilities while also serving our community.

We strive to offer people with disabilities the opportunity for personal growth and meaningful life experience through vocational and retirement opportunities and day activities.

Garten carefully matches individuals with disabilities to the right jobs, based on that individual’s skills and preferences.

Individuals referred to Garten through the assistance of Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation Services or Developmental Disabilities Services become program participants and are served through Garten’s Program Services Division.

People with and without disabilities who wish to become a Garten employee should watch the Job Openings page on this web site regularly. Garten practices preferential hiring toward individuals with disabilities who are able to work in a competitive job setting.

In addition to jobs in Garten’s five business enterprises - recycling, mail services, packaging & fulfillment, custodial and commercial laundry - we currently work with community businesses to support people who work in the community.  For more information on community employment, please contact Lynn Wiles, Community Employment Manager at 503-316-3950x 3907.
