Garten has several annual events that rely upon corporate and individual sponsorships to defray costs.
Our Annual Garten Party dinner/auction fundraiser has gained broad community support and grown significantly in recent years. Many attendees tell us it’s their favorite fundraiser event all year - better auction items, great music, fabulous people, inspiring program, and fabulous people. Sponsorship levels vary from $100 to $2,500, with sponsor benefits suited to each level. It’s a great way to get your name out as a Garten supporter!
Garten’s annual Company Picnic happens annually in early September. It is the one time each year that everyone involved with Garten comes together with their family members to enjoy food, festivities and fun. Attendance tops 300 each year, and folks don’t pay to attend. In recent years this event has been Salem Riverfront Park or Cascade Gateway Park. A buffet lunch is served, everyone gets a special t-shirt (which will have your company logo if you are a sponsor!), folks enjoy karaoke, face painting, arts and crafts, and a wide array of games for all ages. It is our time once a year to come together in celebration, slow down for a while, relax outdoors and to get to know one another – and our families – better.
Our annual Holiday Luncheon is for all the individuals with disabilities served by Garten and the dedicated staff who work along side them. Historically is has been the first Saturday in December. People with disabilities are invited to bring one special guest for a full plated turkey dinner, Garten Employee of the Year Awards, a visit from Santa – plus music and dancing and fun.
